today at lincoln open day during the lectures and lessons i met two new people they were called
hannah and then rebecca.
Hannah was 18 and from cambridge she liked muic and clothes.
Rebecca was 19 and came from my fave place LONDON!!!!! :D she likes film music and photography.
I found out me and Hannah both work in retail she works in Next and i do primark .
rebecca works in the albert hall how cool is that !!! altho not when the proms are on there awful music :S

Chris, Sleaford
Fenton Moore is 17 and will be 18 on the 31st May 2008. He lives near Middlesborough and is studying A2s in Media, Business, English Language and English Literature. He hopes to study Journalism at university with the intention of becoming a sports journalist on completion. Journalism is an interest because he enjoys being able to follow and write up stories.
Outside of education his main interests are sports (in particular football) and music. He is a supporter of Middlesborough FC.

Adam from Rutland
I met Matthew at a Lincoln Uni Open Day. We are both members of the Journalsim course and after lunch we were some what lost but we recognised each other so started talking.
I found out that Matthew is 19 and from Suffolk, he took a gap year after college where he achieved A levels in Media, History and English Lit as well as ICT. He works at M&S where he has to get up between 5 and 6 am.
He is into F1 and Kimi Raikkonen is his favourite driver. He also enjoys his music and likes jazz as well as metal, he enjoys films and would like to ultimately amke his own films one day. He does alot of writing and is capble in all forms of writing and finds it enjoyable.
Owns a mimi although he hasn't passed his test and is on Facebook although he doesnt use it regularly and doesnt like the fact that his room is half decorated!

today at lincoln open day, making friends was easy. i met two new people, Karen from nottingham and Rachel from south east london. they share similar interests in that we all like music however our individual tastes in bands caused some debate-both Rachel and Karen are into Mcfly, but Rachel and I both agreed that Maximo Park are pretty awesome.
on the topic of work, i discovered that Karen works in Primark and Rachel works in the Royal Albert Hall in London as bar staff.
both Rachel and Karen are into films but again. there was so controversy over which films were good. Karen suggested Pirates of the Caribbean, but the expression Rachel gave in response suggested that she didnt agree, however when i asked what films she did like she just said everything.

Visiting the open day at Lincoln Uni, I was worried that I wouldn't find anyone with the same interests as me. However, doing the Journalism workshops I found 2 girls; Hannah from Cambridge and Karen from Nottingham who I found have a lot in common with me :D. Hannah likes Indie/Rock music like me whereas Karen likes pop. We all enjoy going to gigs and seeing friends. What I loved was finding a fellow McFly fan, Karen who isn't embarrassed to say they love them haha. I look forward to starting Uni in September, getting to know them better and having fun doing Journalism together. Ciao for now :)

I met Adam outside the EMMTEC building after a rather tasty lunch on Lincoln Uni’s Applicants Open Day. Both a touch lost, we struck off together to find our next workshop. Finding ourselves sitting next to each other, we started talking.
Adam hails from Rutland, where he attends Rutland College's Sixth Form. There he studies AS Levels in Media, 20th Century History, English Literature and English Language. Fenton, Middlesbrough
Chris is eighteen and is from nearby Sleaford, around twenty miles from Lincoln. After leaving Lincoln Chris hopes to go onto be a journalist. This interests him as he welcomes the opportunity to travel and meet new people. He is currently studying History, Geography and English Language A2's. His main interests include football and music, he supports Man Utd and likes most music with the exception of rap. He hopes to go to Lincoln because it is recognised as being a good place to study journalism and it is relatively close to his home so is easily accessible for him although he wants to move to Lincoln when he starts University.

Today I met with Anna Keeping, an 18 year old from the Sleaford area who joined me on todays open day to find out more about the Journalism course. She's currently studying Sociology, Psychology and English language and literature. The latter of which I've also studied and failed misrebly at. She's hoping to end up working in newspapers and is interested in journalism in all its areas
Aside from her studies, Anna is a keen fashion follower and lists Topshop and New Look as her favourite shops. When she's not browsing the rails, she's listening to a varied collection of music. where Kate Nash takes pride of place.

Jennifer - North Yorkshire
Today I spoke to Holly who is also hoping to to Journalism at Lincoln this year. Holly's aged twenty and has taken two years out before deciding on coming to study here. One of the reasons for this was that she didn't know if it was what she wanted to do, feeling the pressures of sixth form life and not wanting to make the wrong decision. For her A-levels she studied English Literature, Media Studies and History as well as French at AS level. After attending an open day for Lincoln two years ago she felt that this would be where she wanted to go if she did decide to attened university in the future.
During Holly's time out of education she went to Denmark for a year, where her family are originally from. Whilst she was there she worked with underprivlidged and orphaned children, aged between three and eight, teaching them conversational english as well as helping to build their confidence. In her second year out she has been spending her time working to gain some money to help finance her time at university so that she doesn't end up 'in the shit'.

A quick convo with Jennifer from Richmond in North Yorks completely helped to ease the open day stress. Finally! someone else who's here on their own today...not that we're unfamiliar with Lincoln...Jennifer has a cousin who lives here and you know, I'm a local! lol! She studies Film Studies, Media and English Language A Levels at college in Darlington and is looking at Teeside as well as Lincoln to study Journalism....she assures me that even though at Teeside the course is labelled "MultiMedia Journalism"...it's essentially the same thing!
In regards to films, Jennifer really likes directors such as Tarantino, Tim Burton and David Lynch...can't say I'm overly keen on Tarantino but love love love Tim Burton! Having studied Media at A Level, I can relate to the sort of gritty, British realism films that Jennifer likes and can relate to the dislike and, for want of a better word hate, "Americanised" British films such as Bridget Jones which whilst funny is mind-numbing and totally unrealistic.
The Mirror - - - At only 18, Jennifer is going completely in the right direction by undertaking work experience at The Mirror newspaper in the summer! Not paid = bad times. Two weeks in london = good times. Sorry Justin Lee Collins!!!!! :)

Stacey Cosens is 17 and will be turning 18 next week, she is planning to go out with her friends in Brighton to celebrate. She is currently at college where she is doing a BTECH in media print and publishing which she is enjoying despite it being badly run. The course involves a lot of writing which is one of her hobbys along with music and fashion. Stacey enjoys both pop and indie music and shopping at topshop.

Rachel, Lincoln
Josh from Barnack near Stamford is currently studying History and RE at 6th form. He is interested in doing Journalism at Lincoln University and ever since a young age has been reading newspapers and has recently done work experience within the media industry to get a taste of what being a journalist is really like. Josh enjoys writing about general things instead of just specific subjects. The choice of Lincoln university was made due to the fact that Lincoln has some of the best courses for Journalism and also is the only English university to have it's own legal radio show that is played on air to the Lincolnshire community. Outside of the educational area, Josh enjoys spending time with his friends and going out.
Josh, from Stamford
Rachel from Potter Hamworth just outside of lincoln, has been here today, she is a sixth form student studying Enlish Literature, Travel and Tourism and Business Studies. Rachel chose Lincoln university for a number of reasons, firstly she is close to family and home thus there is no need for accomodation, also her brother came and really enjoyed himself. Journalism course caught her eye because all the other types of course did not seem very enjoyable, Journalism looked like fun. Rachel also has an interest in golf playing for both Lincolnshire girls and Ladies teams, with a handicap of 5, she also enjoys going out with mates clubbing.
Stephanie, Nottingham
Talking to Daisy I discovered that she is interested in doing a joint honours degree combining journalism with PR with a view to becoming a travel writer. After taking a year out after completing her A-levels Daisy is excited about coming to Lincoln University as she not only appreciates the features of the city, but having two of her friends already studying at Lincoln, she has been given a very positive insight into what life is like in Lincoln.
Dasiy had looked at Universities local to where she lives in Norwich, but decided on studying at Lincoln after seeing how modern the University was and all that it has to offer.
Daisy has an interest in travel and would like to work with charities in less economically developed countries as she feels that this would help her with her travel writing and her writings about poverty, another subject which she wishes to cover in her writing.
For the past year Daisy has been working and is currently working 50 hours a week at a local hotel where she sets up functions, works at the bar and is a waitress. Although she finds the job enjoyable, it has made her more motivated for coming to University after being undecided about whether or not to apply in order for her to improve her future career aspects.

He's just past his driving test, which he is really chuffed about- saying it proudly and smiling (lack of a provisional myself- therefore impressed at his own driving achievement). He's been to New York a couple of years ago, discussing the harrasment of people upon the streets (sorry sidewalk) and how they kept trying to sell him empty CD cases: Martin cannot be conned.
Alas, I doubt anyone bought them- if they did, well it would be the American's right?
Now I'm thinking I should have asked him what football team he supported and millions of other questions (note Martin's interogative skills as I am sure he knows more about me). Then We both turn to each other- "What was your name again?"
You'd think it've been the answer we would have remembered.
He wants to write novels but admits he hasn't read a book in ages- I confess I also have been reading the same George Orwell book since the Christmas before last.
He lives with his parents in Cambridge- they moved down South after they were about 30, his aunties and Grandparents still living in Runcorn. he is tall with brown hair and brown eyes, seems like a down-to-earth type of guy .

Martin From Cambridge
Jenny, who is sitting behind me, is from Runcorn in Chesire which by coincidence is where the whole of my extended family hail from, she even lives round the corner from my auntie! Some of her family have moved from Chesire down south to Southampton.
She studies at riverside college in Runcorn and is looking to do a joint course in Journalism and Media culture at Lincoln. In prepartion for this she currently does A levels in English, Media and Photography.
Earlier this year she was part of a college trip to New York where she had an incident on the Subway which resulted in her being harassed in Harlem, bad times.
Jenny has previously used blogs on Myspace making her more of an expert than I.

Fraser is planning to study History with Journalism. His A-Levels are very diverse ranging from English literature to Photography. He chose History because this would give him a firm base of knowledge and context of which to write for newspapers in the future, and photography as a practical feature to show he has many different skills when it comes to gathering information and displaying it.
He appears to be completely mad about Bloc Party and when I asked him why he liked them he replied "Don't get me started!" Like he could go on for hours, which says it all really. He achieved very high grades in his History modules, which is really quite astounding as it's actually a super hard subject.
So far, he really likes Lincoln because it's so new and 'fresh', which I quite agree with.

Lincoln University appealed to Stephanie because of the architecture and culture and thinks it will be extremely helpful studying Journalism within such a beautiful city.
Lincoln has always been a favourite University to eventually come to for her, as it is fairly close to her home town, however, not on her doorstep. This means that it will be an incredible life changing experience for her.
Stephanie wants to become a writer of the future, writing on important matters throughout the world, that will actually be meaningful to another person.

I happen to know that she hates camping and screamo shouting mental music (we got on the subject of Leeds Festival after she spotted last years wristband still on my wrist) and I have to say i feel exactly the same.
I think Rebecca has the drive to achieve any goal she wishes and I hope to see her here next year so, to her, good luck! x

Luke is from Nottingham and has decided to study Journalism with English in order to pursue a career as an English Teacher. At the mintue he is taking English language, sociology and Drama, but enjoys one out of the three. He chose Lincoln as it is far enough from his parents, but just close enough for a ride home. He is also looking forward to starting a new experience. Luke has a varied taste in music and after noticing his writsband saw that he has attended Leeds festival for the past few years now. His favourtie performance was from the Killers and also enjoyed 50 cent. He has a dislike for 'screaming' music but a love for football and plays for his local team. Luke has a good personality for teaching and will hopefully suceed in the future.

Louise from london and Adrienne from Kent have both come to Lincoln uni today to get a taste of what the school of journalism is like. Both are looking to do a joint degree, Louise combining with advertising and Adrienne with media, both great choices !

Fraser Barratt - Norwich, Norfolk
Siobhan, from Kettering in Northhaptonshire, is planning to study Journalism and Advetising at Lincoln University. Despite struggling with the blogging site, a problem that was soon remedyed, she is firm in her aspirations to become a journalist, favouring print.
She is currently studying English Language, Phycology and Accounts at A level, all giving an important array of knowledge that will be of great use as a journalist. English, teaching the basic disciplines of writing and phycology giving a great insight into the thoughts and motives of any given character. Even accounting although not a classically media based subject has its uses, giving her a knowledege of buisness, which may become useful for certain articles.
Sionhan's love of music was a great factor in deciding to concentrate on journalism, with her first experience of reporting being when she wrote a piece after watching the Finnish band 'Disco Onsomble'. She decided to send the article to the band themselves and after recieving favourable feedback her fate to become a journalist was seiled.
Siobhan has so far enjoyed her visit to Lincoln, admiring the crisp and fresh modern architecture and the vibrant feel of the campus. The combination she has picked means that she will have a 'wider scope' for gaining knowledge in multiple fields, so increaing her ability in the filed of journalism.
This means that we may all have the pleasure of seeing her again in September.

Even accounting although not a classically media based subject has its uses, giving her a knowledege of buisness, which may become useful for certain articles.
Sionhan's love of music was a great factor in deciding to concentrate on journalism, with her first experience of reporting being when she wrote a piece after watching the Finnish band 'Disco Onsomble'. She decided to send the article to the band themselves and after recieving favourable feedback her fate to become a journalist was seiled.
Siobhan has so far enjoyed her visit to Lincoln, admiring the crisp and fresh modern architecture and the vibrant feel of the campus. The combination she has picked means that she will have a 'wider scope' for gaining knowledge in multiple fields, so increaing her ability in the filed of journalism.
This means that we may all have the pleasure of seeing her again in September.

Earlier today, I met 27 year old Kerry and 18 year old Louise.
Kerry feels as though she has lived her life back to front as she is a mother to a 7 year old son and has had previous experience in working as a print journalist. She has now returned to University to further her existing knowledge in journalism and is hoping to pursue a combined honours degree with English Literature, aiming towards becoming a sports journalist. Kerry also lives in the Lincoln area, making it easier to commute.

Tajah from London
Sophie Vanessa Thompson from North London has come to Lincoln University with the future goal of becoming a Journalist the main focus of the area Journalism is Print. Her future job would be a music critic and editor of a magazine; three words to describe this ambitious 18 year old girl would be clever, stupid and funny. In her daily life she would spend about 25 to 30 pounds a week which makes Lincoln an ideal place to study because her favourite part is the two Primark’s, providing great shopping opportunities. If you get to know Sophie you will learn that she is a diabetic, has a fear of edges and would be known as ‘fatty’, ‘ass’, ‘sophs’, ‘peanut’ and ‘bambino’. In Sophie’s spare time she makes use of her favourite items her bass, mobile phone and ipod. Thompson’s most embarrassing moment would be in a sprint race she lost her shoes, leaving her forced to finish the race with one shoe gaining the attention of a laughing audience. She will become a successful journalist.

Lisa “Arse” Dunholm is an 18 year old A Level student, currently residing in the home of Robin Hood. Described by her friends as a funny, over the top yet trustworthy companion, Lisa is looking at coming to Lincoln for the course, the city and last but not least, the arse.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys listening to Wednesday 13 (although her favourite genre of music is sixties music) and socialising on MySpace, drinking Pepsi Max and showing off her talents on the guitar, piano and harmonica.
Lisa has 3 piercings and 4 tattoos. She has a variety of phobias, many of which some might find a little out of the ordinary. These incluse bruises, nose bleeds, reflex hammers, injections and serated edges (she finds herself shaking in her boots when presented with a crisp packet).

Natalie Littewood has always been a keen writer. One of her favourite pastimes is fashion. As a result the aspiring 18 year old journalist from Nottingham aims to work on a magazine.
Natalie has shared her life with an older sister who she gets along with. However as she is 20 and works at E-on she find that they do not spend much timw with one another anymore.
An avid Hollyoaks fan, Natalie was surprised when she found Matt Littler flying to New York on the same plane as her. Matt Littler rose to fame playing the character Max Cunningham, who has suffered many soap tribulations for 11 years. On that same trip Natalie experienced the scariest moment of her life. Charlotte Reid, an eighteen year old aspiring journalist, has hopes from her future which come from a particular influence. This influence: Channel 4’s very own John Snow. For Charlotte, his fun but authoratative attitude, and array of appealing ties have inspired her. Her love of learning people’s individual stories and details of their lives also contributes to her desire to be a journalist. Coming from Aylesbury, charlotte studies English literature, classical civilisation and politics to a level. Away from college and her favourite hobby of reading, Charlotte has met an impressive collection of famous people. These include “Jake” and “Becca” from Hollyoaks, Fabio Capello and most recently The Kaiser Chiefs,at this year’s NME Awards Concert. Charlotte confesses that her scariest moment was the day when she caught the London tube alone all the way from Tottenham Court Road to Marylebone station to return home from a museum visit, something that now she is familiar with, she is keen to repeat.

Brooke Charlesworth is a 17 year old student from Maidenhead. Her love of music has lead to a passionate seven year dedication to playing the guitar. Her favourite genre of music is rock and her love of rock music including bands such as bowling for soup, New Found Glory and Sugar Cult has lead to her writing her own songs. A trip to Switzerland to visit a friend who is also a music producer resulted in Brooke producing her own album.

Calum believes that it was in the blood for him to become a journalist; influenced heavily by his family and friends he has participated in several work experience placements working for nationally recognised publications such as The Financial Times and New Scientists magazine. However, it was only two years ago when considering his options for the future that he decided that he must choose more realistic career than just “playing in a band” and decided to focus his studies in Media Studies, History and English further building upon his original interest and developing his skills.
Through a degree in journalism Calum eventually hopes to be able to specialise in the fields of sports journalism with the intentions to work for either the BBC or Sky Sports.

Brooke Charlesworth, Maidenhead
Laura Browse is 18 years old and lives in Sheffield. Her love of indie music (her favourite band being The Libertines) has led her to Leeds Festival twice – the most recent of which was an extremely eventful weekend. Laura’s tent was almost set on fire by a crowd of crazy drunks. Chaos broke out and Laura started screaming, although some friends of hers managed to chase them away before they caused any damage.
Aside from music, Laura enjoys fashion and socialising. She also used to have a pet cat, “Top Cat”, although he ran away and was never found. On the face of it, Zoe is a 17 year old young lady from Watford. However, having spent 5 minutes interviewing her, I discovered she was much more than that.
With regards to academics, Zoe comes across as the ambitious type, stating that when she finishes university, she’d like to enter fashion journalism.

After taking a few years off from studying, Dan has decided to apply to university to study journalism. Dan, a 20 year old from Hertford decided to leave his current job working behind the bar at ‘The Jolly Fisherman’ after visiting a friend a university and seeing the lifestyles of students. Dan has always been interested in journalism, especially since year 9 English lessons, where he was given the opportunity to write articles. After completing his university degree, Dan would like to specialise in sports journalism, and area which he is particularly interested in. Away from work and university, Dan plays for a local football team, St Margaret’s Berry, where he plays weekly games. Music-wise, Dan enjoys listening to Bloc Party, and recently went to see them live at Alexandra Palace.

Well. After having earned myself a Journalism degree I hope to eventually go on to being a games journalist. Being very determined I can see myself going to whatever lengths it takes to achieve this. I really can’t see myself doing anything other than games journalism, as my interests don’t stretch much further than, y’know, shooting people and jumping on turtles.
I’ll start out doing whatever journalism-related job I can get my hands on and go from there. Possibly live in a trendy, minimalist flat, which I will share with my beautiful, young girlfriend. I’ll go on to being an editor of a magazine like gamesTM or EDGE. Well, it’d be nice.

After completing my journalism degree in three years time, I hope to be working as a feature writer for either a national newspaper or magazine. I am also really interested in Travel Writing and Sports Journalism, as both sport and travelling are hobbies of mine, and therefore are areas of journalism of which I would like to gain more knowledge on. Music Journalism is another aspect I am interested in going into, as I am always reading music magazines and love watching live music. Photo journalism is again another aspect I would be happy working with as I gained a large interest in photography during my A-level media course.
Today’s open day in Lincoln has been really beneficial and given me a good insight into the kind of work I will be doing in my chosen area of study. At first I found the practice workshops slightly unusual, as I have been to several different university open days and never experienced such a practical approach. However, these sessions have helped me realise what kind of work I would be doing on the course, and with my University choice.

In three years, I wish to have fully completed my degree in Journalism; I hope to have gained experience as well as qualifications which will enable me to go out into the world of work and put these skills into practice.
Possibly, I may consider going on to do a Masters degree, but obviously, that is something that will be given consideration at a later date.

I have no idea what I am going to be doing in 3 years time. I will probably be down the pub spending all my money as per usual. However, I would like to think that I have a job writing articles for some newspaper that isn’t just a load of rubbish or maybe even take another year to do a masters degree if I can’t get a job. I am quite interested in cars and might go into automotive journalism. I would love to spend my weekend bombing around some airfield in a Mitsubishi Evo or even a ridiculously fast, petrol guzzling, hair raising sports car that I could never afford to buy myself as I would probably spend all my money in the afore mentioned pub. Then see if I can write articles for something like the Top Gear magazine maybe. To be honest I don’t really know but I am sure it will all work out; at least I hope it does.

After completing my Journalism degree successfully, I hope, I wish to work in the print side of the industry in magazines or newspapers. My aim is to combine my love of films and entertainment with my passion for writing and work for a magazine like Empire and Total Film which concentrate on films and the entertainment industry. I have seen a course that i am also concidering taking after i finish at university, it is about freelance journalism. They help you create pieces and send your work out to be publicised and you are even paid for the articles that get printed. I am interested in taking this course because it would help my CV look as impressive as possible, to say that I have published work of various places would certainly look good to prospective employers. Realistically to begin with, I will have to work my way up and so I will start in newspapers writing articles not only about film but also anything else of interest to build my work experience and portfolio up.

After studying Journalism at Lincoln University for a period of three years, I hope to begin training for officer work in the military. This commissioned training will commence at sandhurst training facility and will last for up to 30 weeks. After which I will be a fully trained officer. After learning the responsibilities and criteria’s of the job title for a further three year period I plan to commence training in military Journalism.
This job allows the freedom of an independent self-employer, however in return you receive the satisfaction of changing the world through the media; one of today’s biggest facets.
Reasons I chose the field of work are because of the active enforcements of the job. A lot of the work is done outside, and the satisfaction is hugely beneficial and a lot more rewarding than the pay however the pay is a lot closer to matching it than that of other jobs such as office work, teaching, labour etc. I believe strongly in the media, and would like to be apart of it as a career to help the enforcements of a true media.

I may decide to do a ma course in sports journalism and stay at university for longer than three years as this is something that has interested me for a while although I won’t think about that for a couple of years.
If not, I would like to travel a bit and see some of the world, I have wanted to go and see America for years, as well as visit some of my family in Australia.
I’m most interested in writing stories about general news and sporting events, so I will aim for those types of jobs.

In three years time, when I’ve successfully (I hope) completed my degree, I hope to move away to London, or some bigger city and work for a more recognised news paper or magazine, or even for a television company. I have a big interest in info-entertainment news, so my ideal job, whether it be working for television or newspapers etc would be working in the entertainment/celebrity sections. Also, I’m really into Films, so I think id like working for a film related magazine.
Other than this, I’m pretty much undecided. Anything could happen in 3 years, I might change my mind sometime before then.

In three years time, after I have finished my degree, I would like to be working in the Journalism industry itself, either on TV, radio or print media. I enjoy informing and entertaining people through about different topics, in any of the forms of communication that I just mentioned. There will hopefully be many opportunities for me to express my writing skills once I have completed my degree, and I anticipate that there will be several Job prospects in different fields, relating to Journalism.
I have written for the magazine at my college, and I also do the college radio. I’m undecided on what I want to be doing in three years time, once I’ve finished my degree, but hopefully moving into doing something related to journalism – possibly getting some work experience in a newsroom just to see how it works and how the news goes from being collected to being reported on in newspapers and television. I haven’t really had any past experience in journalism but have done work experience editing documents etc. at the campaign for plain English (that strips documents of jargon etc. to make them easier to read). I’m tempted to do the masters post-graduate but only if I somehow manage to get a really good degree (and the money to pay for it aswell…). Another alternative would be to go into politics more than journalism (as I’m doing a mixed degree) as I’ve already done some work in politics (working in an MEP’s office) and I am very interested in the subject field.

In three years time I see myself having a degree in Journalism and Advertising. I would also like to travel the world, and going to see the many, different, beautiful places there are to see. I feel that there are so many places that should be seen by people in the world, and people should take the first opportunity they get, therefore I am going to experience them myself. I would like to see such places as the USA, Canada, Africa, Thailand, China, Japan, ect. And hopefully end up in either Canada or the USA writing for a fashion magazine about the latest fashions and trends of the world. One of my main hobbies is fashion; I enjoy learning and experiencing new fashions of the world and it’s an excuse to go shopping and buy the new fashions. As well as writing about fashion I would also enjoy to write about music as this is another one of my hobbies that I particularly enjoy.

In three years I see myself looking at a career in freelance photography. I am particularly interested in advertising photography and would like to gain experience in journalism in order to broaden my horizons. I would like to see evidence of my work published in various magazines. Photography is a subject with a lot of opportunity and I would like to use that to my advantage and to travel to exotic countries which would be fun. I’d also like to earn a lot of money doing this and hopefully clear my student debt relatively quickly as I am guessing it will be quite a lot!
I’d also like to make a lot of new friends and connections over the next three years. The work experience gained at university will hopefully get me connections in my chosen work. Living in student accommodation and houses will hopefully teach me how to cook things that aren’t ready meals and keep things tidy! I would also hope to have made new friends and met a lot of new people.

In three years I will be journeying out into my future career as a journalist. Having aced my degree over the three years I will be extremely knowledgeable about the area of journalism and will have the skills required to be one of the greatest journalists in the history of journalism. Having collected my diploma, I will go rushing off to my job at a national newspaper; such is the talent that I have. They snapped me up after just one interview due to the scandal involving Gordon Brown and a sex worker which I had investigated and had gotten published in The Times. Brown was kicked out of office due to the uproar which he had caused after being pictured leaving a brothel having just visited his regular Thai lover. I will also have developed my knowledge of and skills in English having done a joint degree. I will then become a media tycoon due to the success of my new national newspaper which has overtaken The Sun and The Mirror in sales and is now the biggest selling newspaper in Britain. I will also have had my first novel published which became a bestseller within just one week. After the first six months which it has had on sale it has far outstripped the sales of the entire Harry Potter series and is loved by the entire world, with a sequel already in the pipeline. Having achieved all of this I now buy my fifth million pound mansion, for somewhere to store all of my awards trophies, after the success of my first single, which stayed at number one for a staggering 6 months. Thus marks the completion of my world domination.
